I love tostones! I’ve pictured them here with a post run breakfast but they are also great as a snack with guacamole & hot sauce!

Whole30, WildFit fall, Paleo

Ingredients 

  • 1 Ripe Plantain (it will be soft to the touch & have some brown markings)
  • Coconut oil for cooking 
  • Seasonings: Salt, cumin & cinnamon 

Cut the ends off the plantain & peel it. Cut into 1/2” slices.

Heat a pan with coconut oil over medium heat & start cooking the plantain slices until they start to turn golden. Flip them & do the same on the other side.

Now take a glass or other flat object & squish them into patties. Sprinkle your seasoning to taste & cook until softened & browned.
