Simple picadillo is easy to make & it’s delicious with rice & beans, tostones or lettuce wraps! 

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb. Butcherbox grass fed ground beef 
  • 1 small onion, chopped 
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped 
  • 1 minced garlic clove 
  • 2 tsp. Olive oil
  • 1 tbs. Ground cumin 
  • 1 tbs. Achiote (or Sason Goya pkt)
  • 1/2 c raisins 
  • 3 tbs. Tomato paste
  • 6-8 green olives, halved

In a large sauté pan lightly cook the onion, bell pepper & minced garlic clove in 2 tsp olive oil 

Add 1 lb. Butcherbox grass fed beef & continue cooking over medium-low heat. Break up the meat as it cooks

Add all the remaining ingredients & cook a few minutes on low. Add a little water if needed to keep the mixture moist.
