Here’s a recipe I came up with to make use of these beautiful Seckel pears since they are in season! They are a perfect fall pairing with Seven Sundays Farmers Market Mix Muesli.  I have partnered with Seven Sundays to create recipes and serving suggestions using their delicious gluten-free, non-GMO products. Ingredients

  • 1/3 c Seven Sundays Farmers Market Mix Muesli
  • 2 tbs Flaxseed (optional)
  • 1/3 c Almond milk or water + additional milk to serve
  • 3 Seckel pears (or half of a full size pear)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 Slices of fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tbs. Grass fed butter
  • 1 tsp Honey

Add the muesli, flaxseed & milk or water to a microwaveable glass container & stir to blend.

Slice the pears in half the long way & scoop out the seeds. This is easy to do with a melon-baller or small spoon.

Heat a non stick pan to medium with 3 tbs. water, the cinnamon & ginger. Reduce the heat & add the pears cut side up and cook 2-3 minutes.

Once the water is nearly evaporated add the butter & turn the pears so they cook in the butter cut side down. Baste the pears to allow flavors to blend.

Microwave the cereal mixture for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Add the cereal to a serving dish.

Top the muesli with the pears, milk to your liking & a drizzle of honey.
